Mark and I stayed for two nights, for Mark’s 30th and had a fantastic time. The Roundhouse is very tidy, and looks fantastic! There are great views, and it is in an excellent location close enough to Glasgow that there is plenty to do but still feels out of the way and peaceful.

The kitchen is super functional, and we had everything we needed to cook dinner both nights. The wood-burning stove is great, and keeps the place really cosy. The hot tub was good fun, and very clean- lovely to use at night.

Lovely extras and helpful instructions/tips provided by the hosts, who had great communication with us before and during our stay. We would definitely would come back, and recommend to friends and family.

Great little hideaway and exceeded all expectations above and beyond!! The place is an absolutely gem and pure luxury, from the Hot Tub to the John Lewis bedding. The facilities are fantastic, including a fully functioning kitchen, bathroom and decked area. The log burner was also a fantastic addition and made it a really fun stay. Although I must say, we spent most of our nights and even morning in the hot tub, even whilst there was a storm passing. High winds and rain just added to the experience whilst cooking at a toastie 40 degrees C. Fantastic host Gordon welcomed us on arrival and gave us plenty of information and recommended place to see/eat during our short stay!! We went to Loch Lomond and then eat at the duck bay restaurant. Very good 👍 We are already planning our return. Thank you and would recommend booking this place to anyone! 5**

We spent our honeymoon here and had the best week relaxing in the hot tub, going on adventures to see the beautiful landscape surrounding the place, and just enjoying the peace and quiet. The place is so out of the way even the taxi driver couldn’t find it first…so absolutely perfect for taking a break from the busy life in a city! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to stay and Gordon and Susie were the loveliest hosts, so helpful and accommodating. We will be back as soon as we can!

We had a really lovely stay at the Roundhouse. It’s a beautiful place in a very secluded spot. The view from the hot tub was a highlight! Gordon was the perfect host and was on hand to give us tips on where to get out to for a walk.

We loved spending our honeymoon at the roundhouse. It is such a special place, we really enjoyed its uniqueness and romantic feel. It has been designed and furnished so well, simple yet luxurious. The views are better than we imagined from the photos, and it is an ideal location for exploring either The Trossachs or Glasgow. We met the owner Gordon, who was lovely and helpful. We stayed for a week and cooked most nights, the kitchen area is tiny (as expected!) but very functional and very well-equipped for simple meals. The en-suite bathroom is lovely, and shower much larger than you would imagine for such a cute and compact space!

The short version. This might be the all-round most exciting place to stay in the UK.

The long version. It’s a private wooden cottage on the top of a hill, overlooking Glasgow. Starry skies at night and Prosecco in a hot tub. Crackling wood fires and twinkling lights miles below. First-rate stock. Plenty of firewood. Lovely bed. Prime location. Bring a car - there’s lots of space for parking. Spotless. Fantastic host. Honeymoon stuff. One to remember.
