STAY IN A BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE LARCH WOOD ROUNDHOUSE

 THE ROUNDHOUSE 

The Roundhouse is a beautifully unique wooden building which was handcrafted for us.  180 degrees of floor-to-ceiling glass take in the stunning hilltop views and to bring the woodland in to meet you.  It also floods the interior with sunlight.  There is a living sedum roof which changes colour with the seasons and helps to perfectly blend the Roundhouse with its surroundings, you wouldn't know it's there! 

LIVING SPACE

In the main living area against the window there is the wood burner, allowing you to sit around the burner and take in the stunning views, a bespoke kitchenette is to the right of the glazed facade with its own window looking west, this includes a gas oven, a two ring gas hob all cooking utensils and integrated fridge. A king size bed is positioned on the back wall with an oak headboard with reading lights.

A generous entrance porch in the first of the two extensions, has floor to ceiling storage cupboards, coir flooring, and coat hanging area. The shower room is accommodated in the opposite extension, and is carefully designed to be discreetly accessed from the main space. It has a double shower with a rain head mixer and a toilet with the most wonderful view!

THE BUILDING

The Roundhouse walls, floor and roof are all highly insulated with sheep’s wool to retain the heat. Small but powerful 12v lights are positioned carefully throughout space, above the kitchen worktop and bedside; power for lighting,12v USB sockets and extractor fans is provided by four solar panels; and cooking appliances use bottled gas. 

Outside adjoining the Roundhouse there is a deck with a wood fired hot tub, where you can relax and enjoy the views over the Clyde Valley.

The accommodation is accessed via a private grey ash track which terminates in a small private parking area. From here you follow a short footpath to the roundhouse.  

LIVING SPACE

Inside you will be met with the most beautiful and tastefully decorated interior and handcrafted  features designed to accentuate the circular shape of the building.  The main open-plan living area has a domed ceiling and  is spacious and well thought out.  There is a wood burning stove against the window, allowing you to sit around the burner and take in the stunning views in cosy comfort. A bespoke floating kitchen sits to the right and has its own window to enjoy the view.  To the rear, there is bespoke king size  bed, dressed in the most sumptuous bed linen.  The peace and quiet of the secluded countryside setting, coupled with the luxury bed linen, guarantees a beautiful sleep.  Wake up to that view!


A separate entrance porch provides coat pegs and room for boots/shoes; perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. 


The shower room is found at the opposite side of the living space and is tastefully decorated throughout.  There is a double shower with room for two! There is also a loo with the most incredible view!

OUTSIDE

A large adjoining wooden deck allows you to easily access the spacious hot tub.  At night the hot tub is magical as the deck is studded with spotlights and the mature tree overhanging the tub is also lit up.  There is a dining set should you wish to eat al fresco.  Why not prepare something on the Weber gas BBQ?

Sun loungers can be enjoyed in the summer.  Lie back and listen to bird song and whispering trees.
